She was predeceased by: her husband Angelo Maddalozzo; and her siblings, Livio Faoro (late Marcella) of Italy, Licia Giusto (late Luigi) of Italy and Linda Faoro of Italy. She is survived by: her children, Joan Buonopane (David) of Medford, Massachusetts and Gerald Maddalozzo (Luciana) of San Francisco, California; her grandchildren, Gerald, Michelle, Robert and Giovanni Maddalozzo; her great grandchildren, Christopher and Lia; and her sons, Tim and Paul.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (770 Deerfield Rd, Highland Park, IL 60035). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Saint Mary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lia's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
