She was predeceased by: her husband Patrick Burns (Packy); her parents, Alexander Nicolson and Sarah Nicolson; and her siblings, Ewen Nicolson (Betty) and Sadie (late Ross).

She is survived by: her children, Patrick Burns (Heather), Alexis Charleton (Rocky), Geralyn Siptrott (Steve), Janine Burns and Ross Burns (Laura); her grandchildren, Erin, Kelly, Tara Burns, Andrew, Nicole, Skye Charleton, Steven, Michael Siptrott, Sarah, Danny Scharlau, Kaitlyn, Patrick and Ian Burns; her son Henry Siptrott; her brother Morris Loving (late Stan Hansen); and also Govan Scotland. She is also survived by her family, extended families and friends.
