He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor; his son David Stein; his granddaughter Samantha; his brother Samuel; and his brother-in-law Sherwin Edelberg.

He is survived by: his children, Sharlene, Harvey Rosen, Marsha Novick, Bruce Rosen, Carol Blake-Rosen, Terry and Tori Rosen; his grandchildren, Brian, Leah, Jesse, Lynne, Marc, Jonathan, Eliran, Jessica, Dylan, Brandon, Connor, Jenna, Cameron and Tim Yuen; his great grandchildren, Asher, Lilah, Samuel, Miles, Malcolm and Camille; and his sister-in-law Bonita.
