He was predeceased by: his son Michael; and his siblings, Dorothy Warchal (late Lee) and Frank (Mima). He is survived by: his wife Vita; his children, Chuck Jr., Frank, Laurie, Eileen (Philip) and Patrizia Swanson (Stuart); and his brother-in-law Peter Barbera.

“I’m sorry to hear of Mr. Stermetz’s passing. As kids, we spent many hours having fun hanging out at the Stermetz house, thank you Mr. Stermetz for accommodating. Mr. Stermetz never knew, but he was a big influence on life at our house. I went home one night and told my mother about Mr. Sterm making lasagna. It lit a fire under my mom, as she had never attempted making that meal. From lasagna to baked shells to manicotti- mom didn’t stop - all thanks to Mr. Stermetz. Rest In Peace. John Slaughter”
