He was loved and cherished by many people including: his significant other Marijana Petrovic; his children, Anthony and Maya Petrovic-Ruiz; his parents, Guillermina "Mina" Alvarado and Oscar Ruiz; his siblings, Sophia, Samantha, Daniel and Stephanie Ruiz; his grandparents, Dolores, Antonio Alvarado, Theresa and Daniel Martinez; his parents-in-law, Mara and Anto Petrovic; and his nieces, Lucy, Marina and Vanessa.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cumberland Chapels (8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706). Viewing was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Eugene Church (7958 W Foster Ave, Chicago, IL 60656). A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
