He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank DeWispelaere and Charlotte Herstedt DeWispelaere; and his brothers-in-law, Blaine and Ted Whisler. He is survived by: his wife Gwen Marie Whisler of Normal; his children, Shawn DeWispelaere (Kayla) of El Paso and Lisa DeWispelaere (Nathan Connelly) of Lowpoint; his grandchildren, Kayden DeWispelaere, Bobby Young, Carson Connelly, Baily Kacir and Tristin Rodseth; his siblings, Kathy Pullford of East Moline, Linda McNeill (Barry) of Bettendorf, IA and John DeWispelaere of East Moline; and his siblings-in-law, Debra Schutte (Bill) of Davenport, IA, Gail Matteson (Tony) of Burlington, IA, Elizabeth Whisler of LeClaire, IA and Bill Whisler (Sue) of Bettendorf, IA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
