Sherman David Gibson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherman David Gibson in Normal, Illinois, born in Middlesboro, Kentucky, who passed away on January 24, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Laban Gibson and Eva Ellison Gibson; his wife Patricia Piper; and his sister Loretta Jean. He is survived by: his daughters, Ellen Gibson Culpepper (Joseph) of Bloomington, IL and Patricia Jené Walker; and his grandchildren, David Knighton (Melissa) of Detroit, Rebecca Kuhn (Brandon), Derek Knighton (Terrie), Teresa Carpenter (Chad) of St. Louis and Noah Culpepper of Olathe, KS. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
