It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald W. Maaks of Normal, Illinois, born in Lincoln, Illinois, who passed away on January 22, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Maaks and Mildred Maaks (Sheley); his brother James Maaks; and his stepgrandson Carver James Roberts. He is survived by: his former wife Betsy Meyers; his wife Cathy Maaks (Nalley) of Normal, IL; his son Charles Maaks of LeRoy, IL; his stepsons, Jeremiah Ryburn of Bloomington, IL and Scott Roberts (Anndrea) of LeRoy, IL; his stepgrandchildren, Madison Christianson and Caleb Roberts; his siblings, Mary Kay Coulter (Ron) of Springfield, MO, Duane Maaks (Faye) of Carterville, IL, Richard Maaks (Donna) of Normal, IL and Michael Maaks (Tracy) of New Holland, IL; and his brothers-in-law, Danny Nalley of Greeneville, TN and Earl Nalley (Katrina) of LeRoy, IL. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
