It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Burton of Normal, Illinois, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Alphonse Wallus and Celia Wallus (Wagner); her former husband Ray Burk; her husband John "Duane" Burton; her daughter Verna Stroud (Randy) of El Paso, IL; her siblings, John Wallus (Chris) of Milwaukee, WI, Paul Wallus (Mary) of Milwaukee, WI and Barbara Dassow of Wautoma, WI; her grandson Jason Follick (Kelly) of Minier, IL; her great grandchildren, Mark (Eboni), Hayden, Mackenzie, Damien, Luci and Brisin; her great great grandchildren, Addison and Piper; her stepgrandson Brad Stroud (Heidi) of El Paso; her close friend Tiger Lily; and also, Mark, Daniel and Joshua.
