He was predeceased by: his parents, Phoni Bhusan and Meera Chanda (Som). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Arnold; his daughters, Ginny Byers (Steven), Jessica Cunnick (Charlie) and Janey Chanda (Kara Wagner); his grandchildren, Ian, Theodore, Mena and Frederick; and his sisters, Pratima Guhu and Manjusri Sarkar. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
