She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe Mae and Etha Mae (Hollins) of Washington; her daughter Sharon of Washington; her grandson Diondre Nelson; and her brother Charles of Washington.

She is survived by: her daughter Marcy Nelson of Bloomington; her grandchildren, Olivia, Alexandria, Antonio, Adriane, Sydney and Imerianna Jefferson; her great grandchildren, Zyaire Hardeman and Pierre Crosby; and her siblings, Alma Jean of Washington, Dolly Jean of Washington, Valarie Ann of Washington, Linda Colleen Jones (Marvin) of Streator and Morris Lee of Streator. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
