She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Bennett and Louise Kernz Bennett; her former husband James S. Scharf; her husband John E. "Jack" Corbitt; and her stepsons, Tom Corbitt and Craig Corbitt.
She is survived by: her children, William Scharf, MD, Joseph Scharf (Carri), James Scharf (Mary Kay), John Scharf, Carol L. Corbitt and Patricia Kelley (Brian); her sisters, Patricia Bennet, Eloise Barton, JoAnne Cole and Barbara Beer; and her stepchildren, Steve Corbitt, Jayne Hampton, Barbara Anderson (Tom), Jill Corbitt, Mike Corbitt (Roz), Colleen Payne (Tim) and Kathy Hongsermeier (Brian). She is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Vincent de Paul Society.
