It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lyle E. Augstin of Normal, Illinois, born in Bloomington, Illinois, who passed away on January 13, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward W. Augstin and Tressa M. Beer Augstin; his wife Ruth I. Orrick; and his brother Eldon Augstin. He is survived by: his daughters, Bonnie Grammer (Larry) of Normal and Becky Weber (Scott) of Normal; his grandchildren, Bret Grammer and Wendy Steiling (Dustin); his great grandchildren, Jake Grammer, Connor, Katelyn and Carter Steiling; and his sister Charlene Payette.
To protect the community from the spread of Covid, his family opted for a private service at this time.
His family would be grateful for memorial donations to either of these organizations.
