It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Read (Normal, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on September 9, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Campbell Marvin and Louisa Gleichman Marvin; her husband Richard Johnson "Dick" Read; and her children, Barbara Read-Stapleton (Bruder) of Seattle, WA, Bill Read (Donna) of Normal, Patti Smith (Bob) of Normal and Peter Johnson Read of Bloomington. She was also cherished by eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to Second Presbyterian Church or Bloomington High School Athletics.
