He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Shoemaker and Lucy Shoemaker (Engel); and his siblings, Eugene (Eda), Orval (Verna), Mildred Drudge (Walter) and Donald (June).
He is survived by: his wife Doris Good of Elkhart, IN; his daughters, Lynette Miller (Darrel) of Danvers, IL, Anne Miller (Art) of El Campo, TX and Janet Shoemaker of Goshen, IN; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Miller (Neil Richer), Lane Miller (Sae Jin Lee), Grant Miller (Lydia), Emily Schatz (Andrew), Kristina Hatcher (Tyler), Peter Miller and Susan Kaufman (Isaac). He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Mennonite Disaster Service or Mennonite Central Committee.
