He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Jacob and Mathilda Lehmann Rieger (Tillie); his former wife Beverly A. Shive Rieger; his sister Carol Sue Rieger Haab; and his son Paige A. Rieger.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Angelo Rieger; his son Kurt D. Rieger (Cindy); his stepsons, Vince Auten (Ellen) and Paul Auten (Karen); his grandchildren, Jamie E. Rieger and Joshua P. Rieger; his stepgrandchildren, Jelaina E. Auten, Rachel G. Auten and Kathryn M Auten; and his brother-in-law Bob Haab.
The family suggests memorials be directed to a charity of their choice.
