She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Smith and Susanna Smith; her siblings, Edwin Smith and Lillian Smith; and her stepdaughter Vickie McMillen.

She is survived by: her children, Mike Bookwalter (Linda) of Noble, Illinois, Barb Beach Bush (Ed) of Normal and Fran Beach Kemerling (Monroe) of Cary; her stepchildren, Mary Louise Beach Davis (Thorne) of Castle Rock, Colorado, Chris McMillen (Carolyn) and Tim McMillen (Mary) of Toulon; her brother Eugene Smith of New Boston; and her husband Edmund. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
