He was predeceased by: his parents, William B. Medlin and Wilma M. Frick Medlin; his siblings, Billy and Barbara; his stepfather Jerry Mammen; and his father-in-law Bennie Aldridge.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Aldridge; his sons, Matthew Medlin (Bethany) of Dunlap and Joshua Medlin (Nicole) of Valrico, FL; his grandson Joshua Scott Medlin; his sisters, Carol Thomas (Richard) of Goodfield, Linda Reader (Mark) of Pekin and Rhonda Zook (Greg) of East Peoria; his mother-in-law Carol Aldridge of Maroa; and his buddy Waino Willie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
