He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Douglas and Lois Janes (Light). He is survived by: his wife Janice Janes; his children, Brad Janes, Jennifer Hinshaw (Kalin), Doug Janes (Jdanna) and Jill Janes; his grandchildren, Bridgette Staub (Trevor), Will Janes, Sophia Grace Janes, Jordan Kerby, Lucas Janes, Danielle Hinshaw, Ashley Hinshaw, Emma Larson, Benjamin Larson and Joe Larson; his great grandchildren, Sierra Lundberg and Theo Staub; and his siblings, Michael Janes (Becky) and Diane Swisher. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
