He was predeceased by: his parents, Athanasios "Tom" and Sophia Paloumpis (Christofilis); his wife Irene Baseleon; his brother Andreas; and his daughters, Mary and Christine.

He is survived by: his children, Vicki Kupec (C. J.) of Glen Burnie, MD, Barbara (Frank) of Mora and Ted Paloumpis (Gina) of Schaumburg, IL; and his sister Mary Hallick of Germantown, WI. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in honor of Herc.

“Condolences to Herc's family. I enjoyed working with Herc over the years when I was on the Woodland School Board. He was always there for all of the students. I regret that at times some of the people on the board treated him unfairly. Also, we remember beautiful and kind Irene, our children's kindergarten teacher. I remember having Herc and Irene over for dinner and also being entertained in their home. Wonderful memories of two lovely people. Rest in peace! Sharon & Ro0ger Loudon”
