With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Joyce Murray of Normal, Illinois, who passed away on July 22, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard M. Wamsley and Helen G. Meehan Wamsley; her husband William R. Murray; and her brothers, Joe, John and Jerry Wamsley.
She is survived by: her children, Michele Darnell (Wade), Bob Murray (Jan), Mike Murray (Anne) and Chris Murray (Kimberly); her grandchildren, Kelly Murray, Matthew Murray (Mark Schaefer), Laura Kashner (Alex), Amanda Ginger (Kenny), David Murray, Bryan Murray, Ryan Darnell (Carolyn), Courtney Lorsbach (Aaron), Steven Darnell, Terrion Darnell, Brady Murray, Garrett Murray and Logan Murray; and her siblings, Janet Wood of Tampa, FL, Jim Wamsley of Haslet, TX and Jay Wamsley of Columbus, OH.. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to the William and Joyce Murray Endowed Scholarship Fund at Illinois Wesleyan University or St. Vincent de Paul Society.
