He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan and Joan E. Croke Schweitzer, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Hefler Hoback; his children, Michael Hoback (Lori) of Bloomington, Laura Hoback Winters of McLean, Catherine Hoback Kennedy (Joe) of Bloomington and Matthew Schweitzer of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Katie Cassady (Randy), Karlie Rose Winters (Tucker Brand), Rachel Hoback and Dylan Winters; his great grandchildren, Madison and Wyatt Cassady; and his brothers, Mark Schweitzer (Glenda) of Bloomington, Mike Schweitzer (Donna) of Bloomington, Joe Schweitzer (Dawn) of Bloomington and Rob Schweitzer of Mackinaw.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
