She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Wegel and Frances Hertel Wegel; her former husband Clifton Haines; her husband Jack Alvis; her daughter Diana Kemp; her grandchildren, Rhonda Fortney and Mark Kemp; and her sister May Felsman.
She is survived by: her son Mike Haines (Sharon) of Bloomington; and her stepchildren, Sandra Tydd (Tim), Lynn Kwitkowski and Susan Fruin (Jim). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or a charity of the donors choice.
