Dorothy Basting Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Basting (Normal, Illinois), born in Bloomington, Illinois, who passed away on May 6, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruel Gillis and Hulda Hanell Gillis; and her husband Wayne L. Basting. She is survived by: her sons, Warren Basting (Julia), Grant Basting (Catherine Metsker) and Brian Basting; and her grandchildren, Brant Basting (Aly), Reid Basting, Bryce Basting, Taryn Gerth (Christopher) and Thomas Basting.

The family has requested memorials to be made to First United Methodist Church of Normal or to the Mclean County 4-H Foundation.
