It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris V. Wahler (Normal, Illinois), born in Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on October 25, 2018, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Adams and Gertrude Adams (Heaney); her husband Richard H. Wahler Jr.; her siblings, Marion Fluegel, Lowell Adams and Vaughn Adams; and her grandchildren, Van Miller and Amanda Miller Bontjes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Michelle Miller (Larry) of Rockford, Holly Van Leeuwen (Kent) of Henderson, NV, Maureen Benson (Brad) of Farmington, UT and Barbara Abel (Tim) of Carlock; and her grandchildren, Jessica Foti, Christopher Abel and Kyle Abel. She is also survived by several step grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for FACC (Freeport Area Church Cooperative) 514 S. Chicago Ave, Freeport Il. or to Grace Episcopal Church 10 S. Cherry St. Freeport Il.
