He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James B. Bratcher and Minnie E. Bratcher; his wife Bernice Bratcher; his daughters, Donna Menssen (Jim) and Mary A. Cotton (Brad); his grandchildren, Molly Manning (Tom), Daniel Cotton (Caitlin), Melissa Menssen (Adam Sullivan) and Andy Menssen; his great grandchildren, Griffin, Maison, Braden and Spencer; his stepchildren, Jerry Bratcher (Margaret) and Jean Maher (Gerry); his niece Faye Geiger (Dave); his son Randy; and his grandson James.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Firefighter Memorial Fund or to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
