It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara Christine Bateman of Normal, Illinois, who passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Blair and Nina Blair; her husband Allen Bateman; and her siblings, Darrell, Duane, Morris, Robert Blair, Florence Roth (Darrell) and Betty Dahl (Bob).

She is survived by: her children, Tamara Wheatley (Gary) of Jefferson and Mark Bateman (Lu Ann) of Heyworth; her grandchildren, Jason Wheatley, Erin Zivilik (Dan), Matthew Bateman, Michael Bateman and Melissa Robertson (Stephen); and her great grandchildren, Jocelyn Zivilik, Allison Zivilik and Cameron Robertson.

The family suggests memorials be made to St. Luke Union Church or to the Alzheimer's Association – Illinois Chapter.
