He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. and Luella Rose Flessner (Billerbeck); and his brother Paul Flessner. He is survived by: his spouse Ora Lee Graham; his significant other Patty Manuel of Normal; and his children, Drake E. Flessner (Heidi), Derek E. Flessner, Nancee L. Ost and Jennifer L. Duncan (Scott).

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to be made to Second Presbyterian Church of Bloomington or to Ducks Unlimited.
