She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Henson and Effie Henson (Nichols); her husband Robert Cox; and her sisters, Helen Hawthorne, Maxine Munter and JoAnn Henson.

She is survived by: her children, Mike Cox of New Braunsfel, TX, Nancy Silver (Stephen) of Wilmington, DE, Randy Cox (Beth) of Murfreesboro, TN and Amye VandeBerg (Robert) of Bloomington, IL.; and her grandchildren, Chris, David, Phillip, Ashley, Ryan, Jennifer Cox, Casey, Jonathan Silver, James VandeBerg and Lauren Driver (Joey). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
