It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Braye of Nokomis, Illinois, born in Taylorville, Illinois, who passed away on June 4, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harold Thompson and Emma Gleason Thompson; her spouse Dallas Braye; her children, Steven Braye (Beth) of Huntsville, AL and Pam Weitekamp (David) of Nokomis; her grandchildren, Nathan Braye (Jennifer), Mathew Braye (Tracey), Alexander Braye, Todd Weitekamp, Amy Hough (Travis) and Krista Early (Drew); and her siblings, Michael Thompson (Gloria), Nancy Walstad of Provo, UT and Jackie Jenkins (Richard) of Chicago. She was also cherished by 12 Great Grandchildren.
