We bid farewell to Olive Black of Nokomis, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 17, 2025 at the age of 93. Olive touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Isiah Black and Sarah Sumpter (Martin); her brother William Isiah Black Jr.; her sister-in-law Peggy Black; her niece Crystal Golitko (Black); her nephew Joe Michael Pickler; and also Axton Johnson.
She is survived by: her nieces, Tammy Pickler and Peggy "Tootie" Johnson; her nephew John Golitko; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Dwayne Griffin (Cat), Michael Pickler (Jenn), Steven Pickler, Vicki Dess (Dustin), Dustin Johnson (Tiffany), Jerod Johnson and Matt Golitko; her friend Cathy Compton; and also, Jordan, Logan, Temperance, Paisley, Angelyna Pickler, Jazzi Pickler, Racheal, Shelby Johnson, Alyson, Briston Johnson, Maddison Golitko, Kayla Griffin, Zoey Dess, Alyssa, Evan and Jacob. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home- Nokomis (200 E State St, Nokomis, IL 62075).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for funeral services.
