He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert and Juanita Shoemaker (Smith); and his siblings, Charles Shoemaker, Jerome Shoemaker and Beverly Leigh.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Shoemaker of Nokomis; his children, Jodi Applegate (Jean) of Nokomis, Keri Shoemaker of Nokomis, IL, Honorary and Steve Cachera; his grandchildren, Colby James Applegate, Brenden Keith Applegate, Honorary, Becca and Lizzy Hill; and his siblings, James Shoemaker, Barbara Pearson and Alwilta Pearson. He is also survived by Several Nieces and Nephews.
