He is survived by: his mother Inez DeWerff (Johnson); his wife Carolyn Aherin; his children, Angie Wolfe (David) of Effingham, Jodi Kinkelaar (Jeff) of Effingham, Dan DeWerff (Lisa) of Nokomis and Gregory DeWerff (Lauren) of Watseka; his siblings, Cheryl West (Johnie) of Morrisonville and Ron DeWerff (Dawn) of Nokomis; and his grandchildren, Grant, Landon, Parker, Garrett, Averie Wolfe, Mia, Claire, Cal Kinkelaar, Ryder and Nash DeWerff.
