He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis George and Josephine DeWerff (Donaldson); his son Stephen J. DeWerff; his grandson Zach DeWerff; his siblings, Jeff DeWerff and Debbie Bowers; his brother-in-law James Bertolino; and his son-in-law Ed Finley.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his children, Kevin DeWerff (Kathy) of Bloomington, Dennis DeWerff (Vickie) of Normal, Nancy Roberts (Rick) of Bloomington, Kathryn Finley of Nokomis, Timothy DeWerff (Shell) of Nokomis and Christina DeWerff (Brad Whalen) of Farmersville; and his siblings, Mary Lou Bertolino of Witt, Karel Ann Bost (Bob) of Witt and Michael DeWerff (Diane) of Cape Girardeau. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
