He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Brown and Ila Brown (Ishmael); his siblings, Ed, Don Brown, Helen Garland and Margaret McClain; and his siblings-in-law, Harvey Kaiser, Dean Garland, Bob Eddington, John McClain and Dorothy Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Brown of Nokomis; his children, Howard Brown (Paula) of Nokomis, Ruth Wilks (Jamie) of Taylorville and Rachel Brown (Buck Osborn) of Hillsboro; his grandchildren, Mitch, Mariah Brown, Christopher Longden (Aimee), Revin Ward (Ryan), Dakota Brown (Chris Cooze) and Mady Brown; his great grandchildren, Kaiden, Kolton Ward, Rylee, Allison, Bailey Brown and Kalyx Longden; and his siblings, Archie Brown (Brenda) of Pana, Dorothy Kaiser of Sullivan, Delores Eddington of Irving and Lola Karbach (Frank) of Dunedin, FL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
