She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Stokes and Goldie Stokes (Jackson); her daughter Doris Shaw; her granddaughter Lisa DeWerff; and her sister Maxine Eller.
She is survived by: her children, Rodger Leigh, Darrel Leigh (Carol), Ralph Leigh, Nellena Pier (Clark Wiseman), Tim Pavolko (Lisa), Dale Pavolko, Jamie Shivers and LeeAnn Brown; and her sister JoAnn Greenwalt of Nokomis. She is also survived by 9 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home- Nokomis (200 E State St, Nokomis, IL 62075). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at the Nokomis Cemetery (20185 Nokomis Rd, Nokomis, IL 62075).
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Montgomery County Cancer Society or Nokomis Christian Missions.
