He was predeceased by: his parents, Jurgen Broers and Gertie Broers (Pollmann); his son Lyle Eugene Broers; his sister Elaine Kuethe; and his nephew Roger Kuethe.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann of Nokomis, IL; and his grandchildren, Andrew Hellmann (Mikayah), Cody Hellmann (Cheyenne), Ryan Hellmann, Hunter Broers, Lily Broers and Travis Broers.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Montgomery County Cancer Association, or Unity Lutheran Christian Elementary School in East Saint Louis.
