With solemn reverence, we commemorate Dorothy Archibald of Nokomis, Illinois, whose life came to an end on January 8, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Huber and Rosa Huber (Lindemann); her husband D. Stanley Archibald; her brother Wayne Huber; her grandson Seth Marquess; and her grandson-in-law Dusty Rhodes.
She is survived by: her children, Roger Archibald (Elaine) of St. Albans, MO, JoAnn Marquess (Roy) of Nokomis and Greg Archibald (Helen) of Nokomis; her grandchildren, David Archibald (Crystal), Brian Archibald (Julie), Mary Holt (Alex), Jake Marquess (Krista), Sara Marquess-Allen (Mike), Zach Marquess (Lydia), Amanda, Kyle Archibald (Kaila), Derek Archibald (Mariah) and Ryan (JoAnna); and her siblings, Melvin Huber (Evelyn) of Vandalia, Donald Huber of Nokomis, Clem Huber (Doris) of Ramsey, Charlie Huber (Wib) of Tolono and Barb Duncan of Taylorville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the St. Louis Catholic Church (311 S Elm St, Nokomis, IL 62075). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Nokomis Cemetery (20185 Nokomis Rd, Nokomis, IL 62075).
Memorials are suggested to St. Louis Catholic School or Nokomis Memorial Park Pool Fund.
