He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Thomann and Carrie Thomann (Schnautz); his wives, Irene Thomann and Doris Thomann; his siblings, Lawrence (Esther), Hilda Franklin (Henry), Marguerite Prosser (Martin), Katherine Miller, Mabel Pritchard (Everett) and Virgil (Jean); his granddaughter Sherrie Wade; and also Todd Mack.
He is survived by: his children, Doris, Michael Thomann (Ruth), Duane Thomann (Barbara), Gail Baughman Dare (Sterling), Mary Kay Stoltz (Dan), Fay Hedrick (Scott), Barbara Wade (David) and John Thomann (Gail); and his stepchildren, Alan Hasler and Rebecca Cole. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Glenwood Church in memory of John "Fritz" Thomann.
