In loving memory of James Leroy Mitchell of Noble, Illinois, who departed this world on February 20, 2025 at the age of 81. James Leroy leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Mitchell and Maxine Mitchell (Thatcher); his brother Wayne Mitchell; his parents-in-law, Jake and Mayola Cook; his sister-in-law Ann Cook; and his pet Tobie.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Mitchell of Noble; his children, Kendra Shaw (Eric) of Noble and Kent Mitchell (Emily) of Marshall, IL; his grandchildren, Maddy Mitchell, Thatcher Mitchell, Carver Strom and Olivia Shaw; his brother Perry Mitchell (Debbie); and his siblings-in-law, Susan Moore (Kevin), Bruce Cook and Darrell Cook. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home (205 E Elm St, Olney, IL 62450). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials can be made to Carle Center for Philanthropy (Richland County Hospice).
