He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Herdes and Margaret Herdes (Hasler); and his spouse Alice Clara (Stark). He is survived by: his children, Rick Herdes (Sarah) of Evansville, IN, Wayne Herdes (Cindy) of Noble, Bridget Kibler (Ken) of Passport, IL and Brenda Coffey (Don) of Ashmore, IL; his grandchildren, Taylor Nichols (Andrew), Connor Herdes, Macy Coffey, Hannah McCarty (Brandon Wolfe), Olivia Blakemore (Nate) and Cash Herdes; and his siblings, Winnie Forrester, Alta Mary Lewis, Tamera Herdes Hayes and Bob Herdes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends.
