He was predeceased by: his parents, Sterling Allen and Dorothy Mae Gwillim Allen. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Allen of Nilwood, IL; his daughters, Kathe Cannedy (Greg) of Rochester, IL and Stacia Jennings (Tony) of Virden, IL; and his brother Gary Allen (Terry) of Girard, IL.. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Girard Fire and Rescue or Macoupin County Animal Shelter.

“Sorry to learn of Gordons passing , He always had a great smile. No wonder, his mother and father were special also. I bucked bales out at the farm a couple of times, and shared a meal those times. Great memories. Sterling and Dorothy's grand kids I think broke a few hearts, pretty girls. I did wonder why Gordy had to go to Virden to find a girlfriend, but after seeing her picture and meeting her, he was pretty smart, no wonder I liked him.”
