He was predeceased by: his daughter Joanna Metel; his great grandchildren, Alex Kapuscinski, Matthew Pytel, Thomas Pytel (Annette), Kamila Burdi (Drew) and Michael Pytel (Grace); and his siblings, Izabela Klejdysz (Jozef), Eugeniusz Metel (Danuta), Jozef Metel (Stanislawa), Bronislaw Metel (Jadwiga), Wladyslawa Stoklosa, Hanna Jozefczyk, Stanislaw Metel and Jan Metel.
He is survived by: his former wife Zuzanna; and his children, Marta Pytel (Stanislaw), Malgorzata Lakomy (Waclaw) and Katarzyna Kapuscinska.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home (7812 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. John Brebeuf Church (8307 N Harlem Ave, Niles, IL 60714). A burial was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at the Maryhill Cemetery (8600 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
