He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Deborah, Boylan (William), Linda Lammersfeld, James F. Capek III (Mary), Karen Capek and Glen Capek (Susan Crowley); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Klassy (Barry), Sarah, Graef, Jessica Capek, Katrine Franzen (Ben), Johnny Lammersfeld, James F Capek IV, Michael, Justin Pascoe (Heather), Jasmin Pascoe, Rose Capek and Lauren Capek; his great grandchildren, Paige Klassy, Taylor Klassy, Eli Pascoe and Levi Franzen (Betty Eastman); his significant other Gloria Capek; his brother Ronald; and his parents, James F. Capek Sr. and Lillian Capek.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home of Niles (8025 W Golf Rd, Niles, IL 60714). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 9:15 AM to 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Isaac Jogues Church (8149 W Golf Rd, Niles, IL 60714). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the All Saints Catholic Cemetery (700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016).
In lieu of flowers, Jim requested living plants or donation to Breast Cancer Research, Gilda's Club, or Cardinal Bernadin Cancer Center at Loyola.
