He was predeceased by: his parents, Juraj Culig and Ljubica Culig; and his siblings, Steve Culig (late Angela), Branko Culig (Dragica), Victor Culig (late Majda) and Ljubica Hegedis (Josip).
He is survived by: his wife Rose; his children, Tommy Culig and Maryann Joyner (Raymond); and his siblings, Slavica Zapcic (late Ivan), Nikola Culig (Marica), Ivan Culig (Marica), Juraj Culig (Teena) and Dragica Kantar (Sveto). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
