He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Frederick Taggart and Dorothy A. Taggart (Comer); his wife Patricia Eileen Koltveit; his sons, Randall Taggart and Michael Taggart; and his brothers, Harold Taggart and Hershall Wayne Taggart.

He is survived by: his daughters, Ramona Taggart of Hephzibah, Georgia and Cindy Toler (Bruce) of Mesa, Arizona.; his stepchildren, Suzanne Fourman-Pittsley, Michael Montgomery of Camden, Tennessee, Thomas Montgomery (Grace) of Weldon, Illinois, Valerie Griffin (Michael) of Camargo and Theenda Wilson (Aaron) of Tuscola, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Andrew McVaigh, Jackie Butler, Derek McVaigh, Matthew Taggart and Melanie Pattenaude; and his brother Victor Taggart of Hazel Dell. He is also survived by 9 Step Grandchildren 14 Great Grandchildren 10 Step Great Grandchildren.

In loving memory of Marshall, memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital.
