With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Vaun Stephenson of Newton, Illinois, born in Vandalia, Illinois, who passed away on May 30, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence George and Pansy Dell Boaz (Tate); and her husband Otis A. Stephenson. She is survived by: her sons, Ron Stephenson (Brenda) of Fairview Heights, Bob Stephenson of Newton, Brad Stephenson (Diana) of Las Vegas and David Stephenson (Peggy) of Cumming; her grandchildren, Kristen Hrasky (Michael), Jason Stephenson, Connor Stephenson, Hunter Stephenson, Alec Stephenson (Caitlin), Emily Unis (Bob), Ian Stephenson (Abigail) and Noah Stephenson; her great grandchildren, Dane, Brady, Trey, Isaac, Elinor, Aubrey, Evey, Lindon, Owen and Autumn; and her sisters, Beverly Blunt of Vandalia and Iris Bast of Mattoon.
