He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Carter and Ornetta Carter (Barnhart); his siblings, Darrell Carter, Abe "Les", Ralph Carter and Eleanor Burnette; his nephew Nolan Carter; and his son Floyd Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Gerry Carter (Iffert); his daughters, Karen Carter, Lisa Jackson (Bruce) and Lori Rudolphi (Timothy "Butch"); his grandchildren, Jessica Farabaugh (Rob), Josh Kapper (Kim), Jack Jackson (Morgan), Jon Jackson (Peyton), Craig Rudolphi (Shelby) and Olivia Martin (Jake); and his great grandchildren, Claire, Morgan, Colin Farabaugh, Karsten, Kadence Kapper and Maverick "Floyd" Rudolphi.
