He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Irene Smith (Tufford); his wife Judith Knoll; his daughters, Michal Palatnik (Seth) of Glencoe, IL and Rachel Wawrzynice of Newark, IL; his grandchildren, Samantha Benoit (Lucas), Tyler Sills (Destinee), Emma, Evan and Ava Palatnik; his great grandchildren, Easton, Brynlee Sills and Dawson Benoit; his son William E. Smith; his father Benjamin W. Smith; and his son-in-law Gregory Wawrzynice.
