It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Dean Lawrence (Newark, Illinois), born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on August 14, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Lawrence and Geneva Lawrence (Burris); his wife Gail Lawrence (Waite); and his brother Richard Lawrence. He is survived by: his children, Mike Lawrence (Patti) of Yorktown, Virginia and Amy Motchnik (Daniel) of Sellersburg, Indiana; his grandchildren, Devon Vono (Diana), Joshua Lawrence, Marcus Motchnik, Jared Lawrence, Gianna Motchnik, Grace Motchnik and Nathan Motchnik; his sisters, Mary Hert and Annamarie Arndt; and also, Griffith Vono and Ralph "Bud" Lawrence, Jr..
Memorials may be directed to Newark Lutheran Church or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
